Questions people ask

How do I get the longest break with the fewest leave days?

Join your leave days to public holidays and weekends to make a long weekend or a longer holiday. Cuti Planner, a free holiday and leave planner, checks every date range in the year and shows the top 5 breaks, for example 3 leave days turning into a 9-day break. Pick your country, the number of leave days you have, and read the results.

Where do the public holiday dates come from?

Only from official government sources: for Malaysia the Cabinet Division of the Prime Minister's Department, for Singapore the Ministry of Manpower, and similar official documents for Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong and Myanmar. Each page shows its source and when the dates were last checked.

Are the public holiday dates final, or can they change?

Most are final. Some depend on moon sighting, such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Hari Raya Aidiladha and Awal Muharram, and the government can change them. Those are marked "Date may shift" so you can wait for the official announcement before booking flights.

Does it work for my state in Malaysia?

Yes. All 16 states and federal territories are included, because state holidays and weekends differ (for example Sabah, Sarawak, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu). Choose your state first and the results match it.

Which countries are covered?

Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong and Myanmar. Vietnam, Brunei and Laos are not included yet because no complete official list could be read.

Is it free, and do you keep my information?

It is free and needs no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser. We do not collect or store your leave days, your state or any personal data. You can add a break to your calendar, share it on WhatsApp or save it as an image.

Does it work out my leave entitlement?

No. It only helps you choose dates. Your employer decides how many leave days you have and which days count, so check your contract or HR policy. In Indonesia, note that collective leave (cuti bersama) uses up your annual leave.
